I’m in fits and starts
A little bit off, and my cart’s
ahead of the donkey.
The muse has hit, but my words just dart
Way off the page.
My teeth grit, is this true art?
Or nothing better than scribble?
So I sit and wait for my pumping heart
to hurry and catch up with my brain
I’m in fits and starts
My stomach’s a pit, such a worry wart
Am I.
Poetic? Not a wit, but I’m doing my part
To find a way to entertain.
Cleverly done Pamela.I enjoyed it.

Thank you! We writers like to lament together over our struggle with words, and then support each other in our laments. 🙂

I never thought of myself as an ‘entertainer’ before, but that truly IS what we writers are, isn’t it? 🙂

What would it be if you put a carrot behind the donkey? Fits and —–s; sorry, just had to.
