A pause is a hiatus, a recess, an extra breath in and out.
But paws are kneading me, and needing me, to shout out to the world that MOLLY will be soon in town.

But the shore beckons me with each wave on the sandy beach –
Shorely, as the tide rolls in and out, summer is nearing its escape.
So escape I shall do, for a week or two,
As Molly searches for her purr.
It’s purrfectly reasonable though to unburden myself
As long as I don’t bury too deep in the sand.
I’m sandwiched now with chores I should do
While following the chords of family fun.
My advice is to enjoy the music of your summer song
As autumn will soon come along.
I’ll be back in two weeks!

The beach is a wonderful way to relax while listening to the waves roll in and lap the beach. So enjoy but take care to use plenty of sunscreen.

Well, that and the oil refineries along the Turnpike, etc. that somehow seem to define people’s opinion of us, despite the fact that we are “The Garden State.” In the end? That much more space around our blankets for us! Ha!

I grew up in southern NJ, where the land was covered with fruit farms. Peach. Apples. Plum. And I could buy a dozen gladiolas for $5 and farm fresh tomatoes and corn. Now…. it’s all houses. Rather sad. Not sure where the gardens are now. 😦

There’s plenty up by me! Hunterdon is the biggest agricultural county in the state, and happily, you can barely drive anywhere from late spring through fall and not pass a farmstand. I consider myself very fortunate, indeed.
