How do we celebrate while we hide in our
Abodes, waiting for a vaccine, waiting for
Peace of mind, waiting for life to
Pierce our inertia with hope that we can soon say
Yes to traveling and hugging and eating out again?
Home has been our one and
Only safety net, which we’ve filled with our
Love of baking and Zooming and working on
Incredible 1,000-piece puzzles of birds that
Demand our attention until we suddenly
Admit we’re doing okay, even though we
Yearn for health and happiness in 2021.
Love this..Happy Holidays to you too!

Yes, a handmade Dr. Fauci ornament given to me as a gift. I understand that these one-of-a-kind ornaments sold out in a day! :<3
Dr. Fauci on the Couchie sounds fun too. Not that we ever sit on the couchie, right?? 🙂

That is so cool! I think Jimmy Kimmel is the one who did Fauci on the Couchie. It was funny! As a takeoff on Elf on the Shelf, it was a dressed in blue with his face saying things as one passes … Don’t forget your mask …etc

Never tried puzzles before this … Covid time. Patience needed for both the lockdown and putting together the pieces. ;-0 I must admit (to be fair) that my guy did most of this (with some help from the 10-year-old grandson who thinks puzzles are “soothing” and “relaxing.”) ❤

I couldn’t agree more. Hugging loved ones and air travel are the two things I’m looking forward to most in 2021. Both are sensory experiences you and I (and others) have been deprived of this year.

That’s so neat Jennifer. I wonder what it is a picture of? We only have five pieces left now – which seem to be missing. I’ve decided to call this puzzle “five-easy-pieces” puzzle. 😂 Thes five pieces that are missing are the easiest. The rest of them – phew!

So unfair to sell puzzles with a piece or pieces missing. It happened to me as well as my sister. This one is of a tiger sanctuary. Time will tell if it’s intact!😁
LikeLiked by 2 people
Well, that sounds challenging – getting all of those tigers’ stripes in line! We found ONE of the pieces, so down to four missing. That isn’t bad odds out of a 1,000 piece puzzle, right? 🙂

Changing the colours is relaxing for my eyes. A fun effect, Pam. And, I immediately get it on the “Happy Holiday.”
You remind me how I read a recent news article on the paradox off social distancing when we need hugs the most. I love your ornament. It makes me smile today and when I saw it on Instagram. 🙂 We have had a few recent challenges, part of them I will share in my next post. Therefore, delayed in reading my favourite blogs. ❤️ Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones.

You mentioned in an earlier post that you like the way I change colors (usually of paragraphs) in my posts, so I keep doing it. It really worked here so readers could “get” that this was an acrostic poem. I’m glad you saw what I was doing. I look forward to reading more about what’s going on with you and your family. I send you a HUGE hug, even if it has to be virtual. To Christmas Future… ❤

Thanks, Barbara. YES, we all should realize how fortunate we are that most of us are “okay,” even if okay is relative to what’s going on in the entire world. Life is puzzling, and I suppose we spend most of our time trying to find the right pieces to fit in … (how’s that for metaphor). 🙂 Merry Christmas. xo
